Our Leadership

Daniel Johnson

Lead Pastor

Dan Johnson was raised in a Christian home and assumed he was saved because he lived a better life than his unsaved friends. Through the faithful exposition of the Word, the Spirit clearly convicted him of sin and showed him the error of trusting in his own good works. Dan trusted the work of Christ for his salvation on August 17, 1990.After graduating from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College, Dan earned a Master of Divinity with Central Baptist Theological Seminary of Plymouth, MN.  Dan has been involved in the ministry both in Idaho and Minnesota for eighteen years but accepted the call to Grace in September of 2023. He and his wife, Becky, have been married for 20 years and have been blessed with 5 children.“My heart beats for the church! I am passionate about discipleship that is built upon the bedrock of exposition of God’s Word and biblical counseling. I am thrilled at what I see our great God doing in and through our church community for His glory!”

Eric Miller

Youth Director

Eric has been a part of Grace Baptist Church and Twin Falls Christian academy his whole life. Growing up in a faithful Christian home allowed him to be surrounded by godly men and women at church, home, and school and developed a deep desire to serve the local church faithfully. From a young age, he accepted the Gospel as his only way to Christ and realized his great need for a relationship with the Savior who sacrificed all that he might have true life. After high school, Eric attended Maranatha Baptist University for one year, but finished at Appalachian Bible College earning a Bachelors degree in Youth and Family Ministry. He and his wife Maddy met at college and were married in 2019. They have one daughter. Their desire to serve in youth ministry was greatly fostered by their own youth leader’s influence growing up. Discipling and teaching teens of our faithful and good God is their passion as teens work their way through some of life’s hardest transitions and changes.

What we believe.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s written revelation to man. The 66 books comprising the Old and New Testaments were inspired by God in every word and is therefore absolutely infallible and inerrant. Thus the Bible is our ultimate and final authority for faith and practice.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God possessing both absolute deity and perfect humanity. In coming to earth virgin born, He voluntarily set aside the independent use of some of His divine attributes. He willingly accepted the essential characteristics of humanity without losing any degree of deity. He was fully God and fully man living a sinless life to ultimately sacrifice it as our a sin-bearing substitute on the cross of Calvary for all who would believe. He rose bodily from the dead 3 days later from the grave, ascended to heaven and is coming again.

Man

We believe man was created directly by God and made in the image and likeness of God. However, by willful choice Adam fell from his sinless and joyous state. As a result, all mankind are partakers of Adam’s fallen nature and are sinners at birth. That sinful, totally depraved nature shows itself in thought, word and deed. Thus, all men incur the just condemnation of God resulting in both spiritual and physical death.

Christian Life

We believe that with the new birth comes evidence of new life, that gradually over time the believer in Jesus Christ manifests distinctive qualities of a Christlike life growing in righteousness and true holiness. Although we acknowledge the battle all Christians have with sin and temptation and we recognize that the degree of spiritual growth will vary with each individual, we believe that evidence of new life will exist in each truly born again Christian.

God

We believe there is only one living and true God, an infinite eternally existent all-knowing Spirit, perfect in all attributes. We believe that within the unity of the Godhead there exists 3 persons—God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit who are co-eternal and coequal in essence yet distinct in existence.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit to be a divine person (equal in essence with the Father and the Son) actively involved in the world, restraining evil, convicting the lost of sin, bearing witness to the truth of the gospel, acting as the Agent of the new birth, guiding, teaching, sealing, sanctifying and empowering believers for holy living and faithful service.

Salvation

We believe all men are in need of salvation from their sins’ rightful eternal punishment. We believe that salvation is wholly of God by grace, on the basis of the redemptive work of Christ on the cross who shed His blood in sacrificial death, received by faith, not on the basis of human merit or works. In short, we believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

Eternity

We believe in the everlasting life of the saved with the Lord and in the everlasting punishment of the lost in Hell.

Marriage, Gender & Sexuality

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27). Thus, a rejection of one’s birth sex and gender is a rejection of GodWe believe that the term “marriage” can only refer to the union of one biologically born male and one biologically born female as presented in Scripture (Genesis 2:18-25).We furthermore believe that every person, being made in the image of God, must be afforded compassion, love, respect, and dignity (Mark 12:28; Luke 6:31). Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are not in accord with Scripture and should be rejected.
